Katja Hanewald

Katja HanewaldKatja Hanewald is a senior research associate in the School of Actuarial Studies at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. She joined this school in January 2011. Prior to her post at the University of New South Wales, Katja worked as a research assistant at the Dr. Wolfgang Schieren Chair for Insurance and Risk Management and in the Collaborative Research Center 649: Economic Risk at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Katja's research interests include risk management, pricing, solvency, and regulatory requirements for life insurers and pension funds, models to quantify risks related to longevity and morbidity, and individuals' perception of mortality and longevity risks.
