Les Mayhew

Les Mayhew

Les Mayhew is Professor of Statistics in the Faculty of Actuarial Science and Insurance at Cass Business School London. He is a former senior civil servant in the Department of Health, the Department of Social Security, HM Treasury and was a director in the Office for National Statistics. He is director of Mayhew Harper Associates Ltd., a research and consultancy company specialising in the exploitation of administrative data and modelling, and a long term collaborator and research associate with the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, Laxenburg, Austria, where he was a contributor to the social security programme. He is also widely published and was co-author of a book on the economics of population ageing in Japan.
